The future is unclear and uncertain, until it isn’t.
This is just like navigating in uncertain waters - something that seems impossible to do but which isn’t.
The great explorers and navigators had methods and tools and the stars and tides and understanding of the physical world which, while not always accurate (think dragons and mermaids) still gave them an ability to sail away and to explore.
What can we learn from them when it comes to new tech? Have a destination or at least a course heading in mind, look for signs, adapt to changing winds, keep your boat shipshape.
