A vision for future productivity

Thoughts on Microsoft's future productivity vision

I'm attending some of TechEd this week, and sitting in Neal Cross' innovation "future vision" session, I was surprised to see how few people had seen the Office Vision video which Microsoft developed a little while back.

If you haven't seen it, check it out above, but I think videos like this are very important. Why? Because too often in technology, trends and new inventions become buzz and articles...but also become disconnected. There is no theme or idea tying it all together. Yet, when you think about your daily life, it is a stream of experiences - not some set of disjointed steps. So visualisations like this are relevant in trying to build interest and demand in emerging tech because people - everyday people - can see a little better how the tech could affect them.

Check it out, if you haven't already.
